Hi, this a repost from when the database was deleted. Basically, my new idea was make 3 logs. One for round start, one for midround random triggers, and one for converted. Also, mark who used antag tokens. Can't really get what other people said back, but basically don't give it to converted people. Main concern was half the server would get antag, because conversion. Other problem qwerty had was people may try to crash the server. Which is why you may wanna tag people who use antag tokens. Hope this gets accepted, cause I lost IAA.
Server crashes are shit, and even more shit if you have all your objectives done as an antag. People should get tokens for those, but for some reason they dont.
50 - 80 people requesting antag tokens
no way to determine who was accurately an antag in some situations because logs self delete on crashes sometimes
absolute bitch to sort through each and every one
Valid Example: Admin accidentally kills you while you are an antag. You get an antag token.
Invalid Example: Server crashes while you are an antag. You get an antag token.
Conversion rounds only give tbe starting antags tokens.
Anyways, if we implement this, i better get that wiz round back
If the logs delete sometimes, that's a serious problem. But it would probably be a lot easier to sort through if we had the 3 logs.
To mini, why? Why would that not get you a antag token, when it's a ooc reason? Something I forgot to add was possibly change the rules to "ooc reasons MAY net you a token, depending on the circumstances." Ninja edit: You probably could even merge the round start and midround, depending if you would give antag tokens for when the server crashes as a midround antag.
You can kill yourself as an antagonist 20 times with a repeatable bug and get lots of antag tokens to go upgrade your antag from something like traitor to wizard, getting to be antag when you want is a bonus too.
Step 1: Become Antag.
Step 2: Die to repeatable bug.
Step 3: You are now: The Antag token.
Step 4: Go to Step 1 if you don't want to use your antag tokens.
Crashes or bugs are not easily verifiable and are caused by mechanics or code, of which is often a part of the game. Admins breaking shit is not the code's fault.
Sure, some people may get unfairly fucked in the ass, but whatever. They got a retry. Edit: You said bugs. I'm talking about server wide crashes. Bugs would be too hard to verify, and probably should not get a antag token for a bug.
I hope so.
